Part Description
MegaBrite™ is a side emitting fiber optic cable. MegaBrite™ cable is manufactured in three core diameter sizes ranging from 6mm to 14mm with optional PVC-UV protective jacket. The amount of transmitted light per cable is directly proportional to the core area. These cables are used in neon replacement, accent lighting, low light level cove lighting, landscape lighting, pool and fountain lighting and sign applications.

Environment
MegaBrite™ cables can be used for indoor or outdoor applications. The optional PVC jacket contains UV inhibitors, algaecide, and fungicide. To prevent any deterioration, avoid letting moisture between the jacket and fiber core. Seal exposed ends and use a sealed end cap on the cable whenever pushing or pulling the cable through conduit or pipe. Avoid contact with sharp objects or abrasive surfaces that might damage or penetrate the jacket. Cable may be used in direct burial applications. Avoid allowing the PVC jacket to enter the main ferrule; this may cause overheating. When stripping back PVC jacket for insertion into main ferrule do not remove Teflon cladding.
