Part Description
FocaLyte™ is an end emitting fiber optic cable. It's concentric structure which yields 10-28% more light is constructed of multiple 1.0-mm strands bundled and extruded within a black PVC jacket. FocaLyte™ cable is manufactured in five sizes ranging from 7 strands to 91 strands. The amount of transmitted light per cable is directly proportional to the number of strands within the cable. FocaLyte™ is used in down lighting, accent lighting, display lighting, landscape lighting, pool and fountain lighting and sign applications. Task lighting and specific beam control applications may be accomplished utilizing FocaLyte™ with accompanying Advanced Lighting end elements. The fiber has a 60-degree acceptance angle and approximately a 60-degree field angle with no end elements.

Environment
Focalyte™ cables can be used for indoor or outdoor applications. The PVC jacket contains UV inhibitors, algaecide, and fungicide. To prevent any deterioration, avoid allowing moisture between the jacket and fiber bundle. Seal exposed ends and use a sealed end capon the cable whenever pushing or pulling the cable through conduit or pipe. Avoid contact with sharp objects or abrasive surfaces that might damage or penetrate the jacket. Cable may be used in direct burial applications. Avoid allowing the black jacket to enter the main ferrule; this may cause overheating.
