Part Description
3M HL™ High Luminance Light Fiber is a large-core plastic fiber that is flexible and resistant to fatigue, elongation, and vibration. Combined with the Noveon™ HL illuminator from Advanced Lighting Systems, Inc., this cable is suitable for neon replacement. 3M HL™ High Luminance Light Fiber is used in Architectural and Signage Lighting for neon replacement, cove lighting, accent lighting, landscape lighting, pool and fountain lighting. The fiber is visually uniform and maintains uniform color over the length of the fiber in typical installation lengths, (20M) illuminated from both ends. Normal life span for this cable is 10 years.
Environment
3M HL™ High Luminance Light Fiber cable can be used for indoor or outdoor applications. The normal operational temperature range for this fiber cable is 20°C to 60°C. Avoid contact with sharp objects or abrasive surfaces that might damage or penetrate the outer cladding. In submerged or direct burial installations, cable should be enclosed in sealed conduit to prevent moisture penetration of the teflon cladding.
